Clarus Homes was formed in 2006 with one aim, to provide top quality homes built to an unrivalled standard of workmanship blending traditional methods with modern materials at an affordable price.

Drawing upon a combined 30 years experience the directors of Clarus take a very ‘hands on’ approach to the business, in fact each development is entirely project managed and every
detail monitored by them to ensure that they achieve an end product to be proud of.

We utilise local craftsman to produce superb properties of all sizes from contemporary homes aimed at the first time buyer to magnificent family homes all in outstanding locations.

Environment and Efficiency

Clarus Homes are an environmentally responsible developer. Each property is constructed utilising locally sourced materials with an emphasis on sustainability.

Each property is constructed to conform to the Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 as a minimum.

They will be equipped with home composters and waste recycling bins to encourage the re-use of materials. All kitchen appliances are A rated or above and 75% of all light fittings are low energy.

Furthermore all Clarus Homes are designed to exceed the minimum building regulation requirements for heat loss and air leakage.

Photo-voltaic panels are installed to provide the primary source of electricity. This combined not only reduces running costs but also reduces carbon emissions.

With regard to water conservation, rainwater butts are provided for use when watering the garden. Also the cisterns in the WC’s use only 2.6l per flush, an industry leading standard. In tandem this goes a small way to preserving the earths natural resources.

Roof lights are incorporated where possible to internal rooms which do not benefit from windows, thus negating the need to turn on lights during daylight hours. Generally window areas are maximised to enhance the use of natural light.
